Restaurants Online is the perfect e-business solutions that allows
restaurants to have their own website with integrated online ordering
capabilities. The service also includes basic design, hosting, and maintenance
of your website.
Q. Do I get a
matching web address?
A. Yes.
We host your website under a domain matching your restaurant name.
For example, if Muchfood was your restaurant name, you can have www.muchfood.com
as your restaurant's website (upon availability). Customers go directly to your website.
Q. How do I update my menus?
A. Menu updates are simple! We will do the work for you. All you have to do is contact your dedicated account manager with the details of the updates. The updates can be sent to your account manager via fax, email or they can be phoned in.
Q. Can I take orders online?
A. Yes. Customers go to your website, look at your menus, click
on the items they like to order and enter their payment information.
When the customers hit send, the order is transmitted quickly and securely to your fax machine.
Q. I already have an existing
website, but I want Online Ordering. What can I do?
A. We can easily integrate online ordering into your existing website.
Q. How are the payments for our online orders processed?
A. All payment information are
verified for accuracy and then simply passed on to the restaurants along with
the details of the order. You will then process the customer payment at your
own store. Whether it is cash, credit cards or checks you are in control of the payment process.
Q. Can people place online orders
after our restaurant has closed?
A. No. The online ordering feature
works in conjunction with the business hours of your restaurant. You need to
ensure that your business hours are specified correctly.
Q. Can I have a menu with different ordering hours than my restaurant?
A. Yes. You can specify separate hours for your menu. Menu hours take precedence over the hours specified for the restaurant. You can also have different hours for takeout and delivery.
Q. Do I need a computer or extra hardware?
A. If you are not interested in a POS-integrated solution then all you need is a fax machine.
No other hardware is required to make the online ordering system work. All transactions
made on your website will be transmitted securely and reliably to your fax machine.
Q. Do I need a separate line for my fax machine?
A. Brygid highly recommends that
you have a separate line for your fax machine and phone. It is possible to share
a single line between the phone and your fax machine. If you wish to have your
phone and fax share the same line, you need a fax machine that can automatically
distinguish between regular phone calls and incoming faxes. As well, depending
on availability, your local telephone company can provide distinctive ringing
to distinguish incoming phone calls and fax transmissions.
Q. How many fax lines do we need to handle a busy evening rush?
A. Most likely one. Very few clients require more than one fax line. Our fax servers intelligently and efficiently combine multiple online orders and send them through via
a single fax transmission. Generally speaking our systems can send in more online orders via a single store's fax line than most single store operations can handle. Additional fax
lines may be needed if you receive faxed orders at a centralized call center responsible for multiple stores. POS integration is highly recommended for very busy sites.
Q. How safe is online ordering?
A. Online orders transmitted are
secured using 128-bit SSL encryption. Hence ensuring the security and privacy
of the data. This ensures that your restaurant is the ONLY recipient of the online
order.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a security encryption method used by high security
Internet based banks and retailers who offer transactional services over the
Internet.
Q. Who do I call if I have any problems?
A. You can reach our support department
and our dedicated staff will be glad to assist you.
Q. Can I cancel anytime? What are the penalties?
A. You can cancel anytime with
no penalties. Within 30
days of your sign up, you are entitled to a FULL REFUND. After 30 days from your sign up date, you will be refunded on a pro-rate basis of all unused
portions of your payment.
Q. How do I change item prices, add new items and menus?
A. Your account manager takes care of all the updates for your website. Feel free to email, fax or call your account manager at anytime.
Q. What is the account management website for?
A. The account management website
is an efficient way for you to view sales figures, reports, track
customer orders and more... You can access your account management site
using the login and password issued to you when your site was created.
Q. I have forgotten my password, what should I do?
A. Contact your account manager or our support department
and we can reset your password to a new one. However, we cannot retrieve lost
passwords. You will be asked a few security questions to validate your identity.
Q. Do I need to know how to use a computer
to use the service?
A. No. A dedicated account manager
is there to assist you with all your restaurant hosting needs. We do all the work for you.
Q. What happens if our POS Internet connection is temporarily down?
A. Our systems and dedicated call center staff will detect failed orders and handle them
appropriately by either faxing or phoning them in until your Internet connections is back on.
Q. Do you charge extra for POS integration?
A. No. POS Integration is done free of charge.
Q. Will I get a dedicated Account Manager?
A. Yes. A dedicated Account Manager
is assigned to you when you subscribe to our service. The account manager will
work with you on a personal basis; from designing your website to helping you
with any technical questions you may have. |
